Montana Bruhl - Heart for Children in Need
Montana is a recent graduate of the University of Texas School of Social Work and now pursuing her Masters in Social Work. One of the conditions of society Montana has observed requires more care is the immediate emotional well-being of children during their formative early years. Montana recently traveled to Kenya for the second time and worked with children who are among the most challenged and near the edges of survival. Montana has observed children in Kenya and the United States exhibit similar emotional requirments, however, the constant scarcity has made immediacy, patience, and "social crisis like behavior" stronger for children in poverty. In this interview, Montana shares some of her insights from her recent trip to Kenya.
